When I was a kid I didn't get to see my dad often, maybe once or twice a year. So there's one time I spent the night at his place, he gave me this cinnamon tooth paste. I had to admit that was the most fantasic thing I'd ever seen as a child. My dad said they didn't sell this anymore due to the specific market, but he gifted it to me anyway because he loved me. So I came home with my new cinnamon tooth paste and I didn't dare to use it too much, cause I knew I was not going to see my dad in another long while nor getting any more of it. Every time I used some, I had to stare at it for a while and told myself, "maybe just a little". And one of the days I came home from school, realizing my mom threw my cinnamon toothpaste away because it was expired. It broke my heart. I mean, I don't blame my mom from doing that, if I had a daughter I probably don't want her to use something that expired either. But it broke my heart. It really did. And one thing I learned from this is if there's anything important to you, you have to appreciate it, because it won't last forever.

Later after I grew up, I randomly found this Altoids Cinnamon candy and almost cried the first time I tried because it tasted so familiar. It reminded me of a kid I used to be, and I decided to do something special about this. I brought it with me on every journey I took, as a reminder to appreciate every moment of my life.

Because it won't last forever.
